Breach Detection

What is Breach Detection?

The aim of breach detection is to detect successful penetrations of the organizational perimeter. Unlike intrusion prevention solutions, which alert on any attempt to breach the perimeter, creating false positives that overload limited security analyst resources, breach detection assumes that any perimeter will eventually be breached. Thus, breach detection focuses on identifying the subtle deviations in normal internal network behavior that can divulge the location and activity of the attacker. This enables security staff to better prioritize remediation efforts, locating attackers before real damage is done.

What does LightCyber have to do with it?

LightCyber Magna detects the subtle user behavior deviations that could represent suspicious activity, markedly lowering the false positives that plague security analysts using intrusion prevention solutions alone. Download a FREE white paper to learn more
