Targeted Attack

What is a Targeted Attack?

In the context of network security, a Targeted Attack is one that is specifically directed at an individual or organization, or at a network resource connected to that individual or organization. Targeted attacks focus on the long process of getting to specific information and getting it out of the network. The targeted attacker is generally not limited by time or resources. Once the attacker has breached the perimeter, achieving the actual goals of the attack can take months to years.

What does LightCyber have to do with it?

LightCyber enables early discovery of the anomalous activity that can be indicative of a targeted attack. This allows security personnel to drill down, focusing forensic efforts and checking exact activities to facilitate quick investigation and remediation – before the damage is done.
