Chief Executive Officer
Gonen brings to LightCyber over 20 years of entrepreneurial and leadership experience in the technology and network security industry. Gonen was one of the earliest employees of Check Point Software, a member of the core team that developed its flagship firewall product (FireWall-1) and stateful inspection technology. Gonen played an instrumental role in helping Check Point achieve its current position as an Internet security market leader, joining the company when it was a five-person start-up, and leading the company’s growth in a variety of different functional leadership roles. During his twelve-year tenure at Check Point, Gonen held a number of strategic positions, including Chief Architect, Vice President of Products and Vice President of Solutions & Strategy. In the years between Check Point and LightCyber, Gonen was founder and CEO of Pythagoras Solar, an innovator of award-winning power generating, energy efficiency windows.
Prior to Check Point, Gonen served for seven years in the Israeli Defense Force’s elite intelligence unit and as a strategic planning consultant to the Ministry of Defense. Gonen holds a B.Sc. summa cum laude in Physics and Computer Science, as well as an M.A. summa cum laude in Digital Philosophy, from Tel Aviv University.
Co-Founder, Chief Product Officer
Giora is a serial entrepreneur with many years of technological and managerial experience. For nearly a decade, he served as an officer in an elite technological unit in the Israel Defense Forces, where he initiated and managed interdisciplinary high-risk projects, bridging different domains and leading R&D teams. His broad range of technology experience spans network analysis, cyber-security, algorithmic coding and mission critical systems. His research in the fields of computer vision and physics has been published in Nature, the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (USA), and the International Journal of Computer Vision, and he holds a patent in the field of image processing. Prior to co-founding LightCyber, Giora co-founded and served as CTO at MeterLive, a consumer insights and audience measurement company, and before that he was Director of Product Management at BQR. He holds a B.Sc. in Physics with honors from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer
Michael is an entrepreneur with diverse managerial and technological experience ranging from mission-critical software development and Windows internals to image processing and cyber security. Prior to co-founding LightCyber, Michael co-founded and served as CEO at MeterLive, a consumer insights and audience measurement company. Before that, he was Director of Engineering at Digicash Inc. He served as an officer in an elite technological unit in the IDF in a wide range of R&D roles including as a team leader and in cross-organizational project management. During his undergraduate studies, he contributed to active research in the fields of biophysics and cosmology and co-authored several papers in journals such as Nature and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (USA). He holds a B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics with honors from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
EVP & Chief Marketing Officer
Jason is a seasoned marketing executive with nearly 20 years of experience in the technology, networking and network security industry. Most recently, Jason served as VP WW Marketing for A10 Networks through their IPO (NYSE: ATEN), and was previously Vice President of Marketing at Big Switch Networks where he built category leadership in the emerging Software-defined Networking (SDN) product category. Jason started his career in the mid-1990s at Cisco Systems, where he managed the product management team for the industry-leading, multi-billion dollar fixed-configuration Catalyst switching product suite. Directly following, he was appointed Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Neoteris, where he developed and implemented the company’s product and marketing strategy to become the market leader in the emerging SSL VPN product category. Jason was also an early stage investor and Partner at Battery Ventures. Jason has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA with honors from UCLA.
Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales
Claudio has over 30 years of sales leadership experience and a well-established track record of growing revenue and scaling sales operations. He was most recently the Vice President of Sales at Gigamon, where he served from the early pre-IPO stages of expansion through post-IPO maturity and success. While at Gigamon, he developed a multi-tier leadership structure and grew the sales team by 14 times with a retention rate of 98%. His team tripled the average deal size over a span of four years and delivered more than 80% of the total company revenue. Prior to Gigamon, Claudio was a founding member of Fluke Networks where he held several sales leadership roles for 27 years. He has a B.S.E.E. degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Hartford.
Vice President, EMEA
Paul brings to LightCyber extensive experience in launching and managing high impact sales initiatives in Europe and Asia Pacific and has an impressive track record of building and nurturing relationships with leading technology distributors and resellers in the region in multiple companies including Cyan (SDN/NFV provider, recently acquired by Ciena), BlueCat (DNS/DHCP Solutions) and TippingPoint (IPS market leader, acquired by HP). Before TippingPoint, Couturier led Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific for Efficient Networks and served as president, broadband division for Siemens.
VP Research & Engineering
Eyal is responsible for the core algorithmic models governing LightCyber products’ behavior profiling and anomaly detection. He brings more than 10 years of technological and algorithmic experience having served in a variety of roles in an elite technological unit of the Israel Defense Forces, primarily leading research teams in developing technical solutions to real world cybersecurity related problems. Eyal holds an M.Sc. in Mathematics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, having concentrated his academic research in the field of Model Theory during his training as part of Talpiot program, an elite IDF training program for recruits with outstanding ability in the sciences, physics and mathematics and leadership potential.
Yoni brings to LightCyber over 10 years of executive-level financial management experience at both public and private companies. Prior to joining LightCyber, Yoni served as VP Finance at Theracoat and Pythagoras Solar, where she led all financial planning, reporting and fundraising activities. She also served as Controller at Gilat Satellite Networks (NASDAQ, TASE: GILT), where she oversaw financial reporting and planning of multinational subsidiaries, including SEC filing. Prior to that, Yoni was a Senior Associate at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) Israel High Tech Audit division, working with clients including Orkcit, Retalix, Amdocs IL, Veraz and M-systems. Yoni holds an MBA specializing in Financial Management and a B.A with Honors in Accounting and Economics, both from Tel Aviv University.
