LightCyber Named a “Cool Vendor” by Gartner
RAMAT GAN, Israel and NEW YORK, May 20, 2014 — LightCyber, a leading provider of advanced breach detection solutions, today announced it was named a ‘Cool Vendor’ in Gartner’s ‘Cool Vendors in Security Infrastructure Protection, 2014,’ authored by Ray Wagner, Craig Lawson, Adam Hills, Greg Young, Neil MacDonald, Avivah Litan and Lawrence Pingree and published May 2, 2014.
In 2014, LightCyber has been experiencing rapid growth, driven by demand for its award-winning Magna advanced breach detection solution. In addition, the company was named a 2014 finalist for the RSA Conference’s Innovation Sandbox competition. Earlier this year, LightCyber was the first company to detect and protect customers against bitcoin-related malware.
With new data breaches capturing news headlines frequently, IT security people are increasingly looking for new solutions to rapidly detect breaches inside their networks. “By 2020, 60 percent of enterprise information security budgets will be allocated to rapid detection and response approaches — up from less than 10 percent in 2014,” according to Gartner, Inc., a research and advisory firm.¹
“LightCyber is enjoying strong market traction over the past few months and we believe Gartner’s Cool Vendor recognition further validates the unique benefits of our Magna product,” said Gonen Fink, CEO, LightCyber. “Magna is the first product that combines the simplicity and scalability of network-based detection with the accuracy and actionability of endpoint information, providing an out-of-the-box solution for a wide variety of customers to detect and remediate targeted and non-targeted attacks.”
