WARNING! Daily Activities Can Be Hazardous To Your Health [Infographic]
So here is our second infographic showing the main cyber attacks that were reported during September 2014. To see the infographic we prepared on the cyber attacks that were reported during August 2014 click here.
As expected September was also an interesting month and our observations and forecasts from recent months have sadly been proven accurate. There is a lively market for stolen credit card numbers, so there is increasing incentive for attackers to obtain them. Not only have brick and mortar retailers been compromised one after another (some more than once), but also online retailers have been compromised.
The barriers for entry are lower and lower for attackers – while the market for stolen cards is on the rise. Only by raising these barriers, and making it far more difficult for attackers to access and exfiltrate sensitive data, can security admins regain control over what happens in their networks.
In the below infographic we have selected some of the main cyber attacks that were reported during September 2014. Keep your eyes out for the October infographic of cyber attacks.
